Fashion designer, Melina Cortes-Nmili, is the founder of the fashion label, Lalla Bee. In 2023, Melina was the winner of the highly sought after tittle of “Best Clothing Designer of 2023” from Boston Magazine. She was also selected as featured designer for the prestigious Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Velvet Party 2024. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Melina's beginnings were humble, however, her dreams were anything but that. In October 2023, she received an Influential Hispanic Woman Award, honoring Latina women making a difference in business. Melina is a valued mentor and an active force within several Boston organizations that promote the development of women and young professionals. Through her designs, Melina continues to connect with women across the globe.
