Dana Lynne Varga, is an award-winning operatic soprano, an operatic empresaria and the CEO of “The Empowered Musician” where she teaches aspiring singers how to create successful and sustainable careers in the 21st century. Dana is a dynamic interpreter of a wide variety of repertoire on opera and concert stages who is praised for her radiant voice. She has sung in some of the most prestigious venues in the country and with highly acclaimed art organizations including singing the lead soprano role this season as Clorinda in Rossini's La Cenerentola for Boston Lyric Opera. Dana frequently solos at Carnegie Hall, most recently singing the Fauré Requiem and Mozart Requiem with the New York City Chamber Orchestra as well as the Brahms Requiem and Haydn Lord Nelson Mass with the New England Symphonic Ensemble. Highlights of Dana’s busy concert career have included appearances with the Cantata Singers, the Metropolitan Chorale, Coro Allegro, at Tanglewood and countless performances of Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony across the eastern seaboard. Dana was the first place winner of the 2016 Classical Singer National Vocal Competition. She is also an accomplished voice teacher and founder of Mass Opera. Dana is a fierce advocate for singers, devoted to progressive change in the classical vocal industry.
